In 1997, he did doctorate at Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Healthcare Management.
Between the dates of November 1986 and August 1995, he worked as a deputy manager of hospital in Ankara Numune Hospital.
Between the dates of August 1995 and October 1998, he worked as a research assistant at Hacettepe University School of Health Service.
In December 1998, he was appointed to Hacettepe University School of Health Service as an assistant professor.
In 1999-2000, he did his military service (as a reserve officer in Gulhane Military Medical Academy).
In July 2000, he was again appointed to Hacettepe University School of Health Service as an assistant professor.
He worked as an expert in curriculum development studies of medical vocational high schools at the Ministry of Health.
He worked as an expert in specialization commission of 8th five-year development plan.
He worked as a responsible consultancy about diagnosis and procedure codings in (ICD-10-AM) Infrastructure Development Project for Strengthening and Restructuring of Healthcare Financing Administration.
He took charge in inservice training activities which were given to some institutions and organizations.
He has 2 books, 6 book chapter, and 15 articles and proclamations which has been published in his field. He is one of the authors of the books of “Medical Documentation” and “Medical Terminology”.
He lectures now this courses: Medical Documentation, Medical Terminology, Healthcare Management, Correspondence Techniques, Researching Techniques, International Classification of Disease. He is married and has 3 children.
Working area: Medical Secretaryship, Medical Records Management, Management of Health Institutions, Information Systems in Healthcare Organizations, Document Management.
